BJP leader Pradip Purohit on Saturday submitted a memorandum to Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik through Suresh Mahapatra, chief advisor to chief minister’s office (CMO), asking the chief minister to act on his "commitment" to convert Padampur sub-division into a district. Purohit said the CM had also made commitments to provide input subsidies to farmers and opening of 60 closed schools in Padampur. "But these assurances remained in pen and paper only.
